How to Play Kisio

The goal of KISIO is to guess the 5-letter word in the least amount of tries. The quicker the player guesses the word, the more points they can earn. KISIO contains thousands of 5-letter words equating to almost endless fun! There are 2 game varieties: “Hillman” and “Abbott.” The Daily KISIO Game is played by the Hillman rules.

Abbott Game

The Abbott version of KISIO is the simplest. Players will always have a maximum of 6 chances to guess the correct word. Players can earn points, but there are no levels, Life Hearts or bookmarks when playing this version.

Hillman Game

The Hillman version is more challenging because it involves progression. A player will level up as they win more and more games. As the levels increase, the free chances to guess the correct word decreases. Players can use the Life Hearts for additional opportunities to guess the correct word.

The Daily Game is is offered only once per day. This game is played under the Hillman rules. This game offers players the opportunity to earn bonuses such as additional Life Hearts, extra points, trophies and the clearing of their bookmarked words..

Bookmarks

Hillman KISIO tracks the last 12 words a player has entered on the “Bookmark List.” If the player repeats one of those words again the game will apply a scoring penalty.

Players can access the Bookmark List via the orange bookmark icon located at the top of the game board. Any words entered while playing Abbott KISIO are not added to the Bookmark List.

Square Colors

Green Squares

If a player inputs the correct letter in the correct position, the letter square and associated keyboard letter will turn green. For example, if the player inputs the word “BRAID” and the solution word is “BORED” then both squares containing “B” and the “D” would be shaded green.

Yellow Squares

For example, If the player inputs the word “BRAID” and the solution word is “BORED” then the square containing the letter “R” would change color to yellow. The letter “R” is the 3rd letter in the word “BORED” and the 2nd letter in the word “BRAID.” Since the position is not an exact match, the 2nd square would change be colored yellow.

Kisio

Orange Squares

Orange squares are randomly selected prior to the player inputting a word. Bonus points are awarded if the player inputs an exact match letter into an orange square.
